Visit the library and try your hand at blackout poetry. You can take your creation home or you can leave in the folder. If you leave it in the folder. We will display it in the YA Room in April for National Poetry Month.

How does it work?

Select a page from the folder and choose a marker from the basket. Blackout the words on the page until you are left with a poem. Some people circle all the words that stick out to them before they use the marker. Some people get create with the colors and shapes of their poems. Feel free to create blackout at home and drop it off in the folder at home.
